Synergies in co-funding:  GIZ has been commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with the implementation of the project ‘Energy Efficiency in Municipalities’ in the Ukraine. The EC through this Horizon 2020 project thus contributes complementarily to achieving the overall objectives of the BMZ-funded project as the BMZ-funded project supports the implementation of the EU Horizon project.

Objectives: The specific objective of EnPC-INTRANS is to develop local capacities of the public sector at the level of municipalities to set-up and use EnPC models for the financing of their investments in EE improvements of public municipalities and services.

Concept: EnPC-INTRANS capacity building concepts and tools are jointly developed on the basis of stakeholder consultations, cooperation, and international exchange of concepts, ideas, and experience. Training concepts and tools are implemented and demonstrated in the partners’ countries and presented for further dissemination and replication to experts and stakeholders in all EU28 member states.

Expected impact: At least 50 Trainers and 3,000 experts trained during project duration.

EnPC-INTRANS training concepts and materials are available for free download in 10 different languages for the training of experts and stakeholders in all EU member states.
